I have one report that this deer weighed 440 pounds before it was field dressed. Is this a hunting ranch deer?

Update: Well, seems via some searching on the part of readers, we’ve discovered this “trophy” deer picture on a website that shows the game farm and preserve where the deer was taken.

Dude, this dude more than likely has a name, eats by the clock (near the kitchen), has had a miraculous diet, for the beautiful coat he wears, size XXX, unless he’s laid up beside a stump (and his toe-nails don’t show….at night.)

I suspect that the deer in the picture is closely related to the deer pictured in a SNOPES review of gigantic deer.

Deer and Deer Hunting Magazine for March 2010 has an article on the biggest deer (by weight) ever taken with the Maine Record (355#) shot on Fletcher Mountain near Bingham in 1955 currently the 3rd largest whitetail ever taken.
