Drudge Report says CBS News with Katie Couric (if you can stand the program) will have a segment on the 21 members of Congress from both parties, who traveled to Copenhagen to party it up all on taxpayers’ dollars. Golly! Times are tough aren’t they?
Maybe my report earlier today that this administration is more interested in global warming than national security is accurate.
It seems that nobody will talk about the expenses of the trip and they all refer inquirers back to Speaker Pelosi and she’s tight-lipped – not from botox and face lifts. She says anybody who wants to know will have to fill out all the required information request documents.
Of course with all the staff, family and friends who tagged along, it certainly had to have added up. Reports say there were three military jets, among others and several airfares in excess of $2,000.00 each for commercial air. Over 300 hotel nights and meals should have put the trip into the millions, considering the estimated cost of hiring a military jet is over $5,000 an hour.
Sen. Inhofe went to Copenhagen and paid for it out of his own pocket I have heard.
Maybe this administration does put parity with global warming and national security.
