Errol Southers is the guy Barack Obama wants to head up the Transportation Security Administration. He has been embattled with some republicans to get approved because of allegations that he misused intelligence files for personal use. While that might be the case, is it more alarming what Southers’ opinions about the War on Terror are?

Hot Air has a video of an interview done with Errol Southers and Videojug.

In that interview, Southers explains that the “War on Terror” is a “political phrase” much like the War on Drugs. While I suppose one could argue that even though the War on Drugs didn’t fly planes into the World Trade Center, drugs have taken the lives of many in this country but isn’t it more a matter of choice to do drugs than to have a plane fly into your workplace and blow you to bits? One has to ask just how serious Southers would take his job if it means that another “Pantybomber” gets through security only to be successful in detonating a bomb is no different than missing out on a new shipment of heroin coming into the country.

We can further argue the case that Southers “don’t get it” when he says that the War of Terror deserves parity with global warming.

I do think, however, it [the War on Terror] deserves to perhaps have some parity with global warming, with education, with the economy, but national security is always going to supercede everything else.

My, how reassuring that national security is going to at least have some priority over global warming. Who can seriously muster up any concern over global warming when your family was blown to hell by a terrorist who slipped through all the channels aimed at protecting us. If our leaders are putting that much emphasis on global warming maybe it explains why the “Pantybomber” got a visa and was able to board a plane for the U.S., even though he was on a terror watch list.

I don’t know about you, but I would have a difficult time approving of Mr. Southers as TSA director if his view on the War on Terror is nothing more than a “political phrase” that deserves parity with global warming. I don’t think I’d have a lot of confidence boarding a plane with him in charge of my security.

What do we have ? A multi billion dollar military industrial complex, NORAD, the CIA, FBI and other obvious intelligence agencies. And a terrorist organization created by them to fight the Soviets while occupying Afsmackistan.. Once the Soviets quit and went home why then did they continue to fund, support Osama Bin Laden and crew.. Including the Taliban.. Then we get hit by “ALQAIDA” and our rights start melting like butter on a hot grill.. Oh and then once in awhile we need reminded that “ALQAIDA” is still out their trying to get us… I think we would be wise to look closer to home.. Counter Intelligence Agency.. Central Infiltration Agency. Criminals In America.. Their winning, and they will continue to win because no one has the balls to look up…

The use of the term “international terrorism” has the following goals:

Hiding the real objectives of the forces deployed all over the world in the struggle for dominance and control;

Turning the people’s demands to a struggle of undefined goals against an invisible enemy;

Destroying basic international norms and changing concepts such as: aggression, state terror, dictatorship or movement of national liberation;

Depriving peoples of their legitimate right to fight against aggressions and to reject the work of foreign intelligence services;

Establishing the principle of renunciation to national interests, transforming objectives in the military field by giving priority to the war on terror, violating the logic of military alliances to the detriment of a joint defense and to favor the anti-terrorist coalition;

Solving economic problems through a tough military rule using the war on terror as a pretext. In order to fight in an efficient way against international terrorism it is necessary to take the following steps:

To confirm before the UN General Assembly the principles of the UN Charter and international law as principles that all states are obliged to respect;

To create a geo-strategic organization (perhaps inspired in the Cooperation Organization of Shanghai comprised of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) with a set of values different to that of the Atlantists; to design a strategy of development of states, a system of international security, another financial and economic model (which would mean that the world would again rest on two pillars);

To associate (under the United Nations) the scientific elites in the design and promotion of the philosophical concepts of the Human Being of the 21st Century.

To organize the interaction of all religious denominations in the world, on behalf of the stability of humanity’s development, security and mutual support.

Hmmm! Interesting. Of course it’s difficult to assess and comment on the real content of the book with only having at present this article from HuffPost but in what has become my skeptical way, I find it difficult this book is getting promoted at this website.
But I guess it’s easy to talk about such things as the “Shadow Elite” and the “flexicans” etc. but never put any of it to practice. I do however agree with the premise as described in the article about the book. This has been going on for some time but personal agendas, biases, politics and a myriad of other things, such as greed will certainly rue the day over “framing” what some of us already know exist.
I might just pick that book up and read it though.

Is the Huff and Puff Post a Liberal Rag.. ? I agree though, she is not going to point to the real deal.. Chicken I guess..

We must recognize these political scam artists are puppets, and we must discern who is pulling those strings and put the pressure there..

I’m sick of the yes men and women kissing the hand of their Massa and getting away with it..

Huff Post may fall somewhere between the Daily KOS and Politico but yes, it’s a liberal rag. It requires a lot of thought and reading and prayers to seek wisdom and discernment in these matters.
