Well, at least the wolf looks friendly. See? You can walk up to him and give him a hug. I sure love nature.

Harley

People like Pete just don't have anything else, being a grammar nazi is the internet equivalent of playing the race card. But, there emotional argument is so weak they have nothing else. These people simply can not grasp the reality in which some people just don't live inside their distorted and twisted view of reality, therefore they will rail for the destruction of those people and their life styles.

So much of this battle against of way of life has come from back east where these types seem to think it is not only their responsibility but their right to force their opinion onto us, force us to live within their parameters, because it is obvious to them were are nothing but a bunch of neanderthals.

They support these big government regulatory agencies that work outside the constitution to destroy middle America. They somehow think they are never wrong and that these protection apply to everyone, when the truth is, they simply stifle freedom and only apply to those whom are not in the inner circle of government. They have destroyed states rights in preference to federal rights, they have supported the destruction of their own power, and yet continue to support it.

Unfortunately they don't seem to have enough of their own issues to deal with, and therefore seem to think they should be meddling in our issues. Perhaps what they need is a serious enough issue of their own to work on, like perhaps the water supply for the entire NY, NJ, NE Pennsylvania being destroyed by big corp under exemption of the government they love, or faulty and poorly engineered nuke plants being licensed at record rates all over the eastern US. No, you wouldn't want to be concerned about anything like that, lets worry about destroying the western ecosystems and confiscating private property of those they dislike, and then blaming them for it to boot.

Perhaps one day they will see the dysfunction in the communist view of 'this land is your land, this land is my land', and see that I am a better caretaker of the area I live in and they of theirs.

What is going on in this country really is criminal, and yet these buffoons will continue to support those who support more of the same, they will keep electing in those who have perpetuated this problem and they will continue to bitch because nothing changes.

I sorta came in on this one late but I'm getting the very distinct impression from Pete that when a wolf kills stock, a pet or a human, it's always due to the lack of someone being vigilant enough, responsible enough. That's a load of crap. And you were wrong about one thing there Pete.

"do you know how many non-provoked wolf attacks on humans have been reported worldwide in the last 100 years: exactly 1, and that was in an area of Canada where people started feeding them, which is an exceptionally bad idea."

Apparently Pete has not heard of Candice Berner. I don't think she was feeding any wolves when she got killed. I don't think the villagers she was living with were feeding any wolves either. But I'm sure Pete will be able to spin that one on how it was indeed Candice's fault. How dare she go outside where she knows wolves are?

Yeah, I beat those wolves out my camps all those years because it was the coffee pot they wanted !

They busted 19 head of horse stock out the corral here because they had nothing better to do that night.

They follow us around all over the high lonesome because they're so damned sociable.

Carter and is opinions are Insalubrity at best

Carter Niemeyer says:

“This is the perfect time for Wildlife Services to come out to the public with photos and proof beyond the shadow of the doubt that this horse was killed by wolves. In my 30+ year career in the predator management business it has never been ++documented++ that wolves have killed a horse."

++It has been reported but no one has ever shown me (or anyone else to my knowledge-correct me if I am wrong-along with proof) irrefutable evidence through photos, measurements and a necropsy in the Northern Rockies that a wolf has been the primary cause of death of a horse.++

Yeah sure Carter.
Wolves make first kills of livestock in 2010 (Horse)

More livestock and pets including horses;

A horse is a horse of course CARTER;

" I am not saying that wolves have not chased horses. I have seen cases of horses running through fences but not where wolves were the cause, although blamed."

" I don’t dispute it is possible and has probably occurred but it would sure do the predator control profession a world of good to put the documentation together. In no way take this as I am calling anyone a liar. Take this as constructive criticism. Such documentation would be invaluable to livestock owners around the country – and in my opinion, an absolute requirement in making wolf management decisions for state agencies. Please share this with other colleagues.”

People going around making excuses for this wolf problem are insane!
