For far too long the environmentalists/animal rights/anti-hunting groups have had their way with little or no opposition. They have pushed their agendas to the point of serious infringement on the rights of American citizens. Now, with people organizing and groups getting their act together, they are fighting back and the environmentalists don’t like it one bit. They also are not used to opposition. They are, however, quite accustomed to manipulating the media to fight their public relations battles.

Such is the case in the Northern Rockies area where the people are fighting back and now the environmentalists are using the media to demonize those pushing back, painting them as liars, polarizing the issue, misguiding the citizens, etc. Don’t be caught up in this giant media deception.

Your article is great but there’s far more wrong going on. Animal radical/enviro groups are being massively facilitated by unconstitutional new state laws newly being passed. Look no further than Maine’s patently unconstitutional new animal law SP0605 to see how Americans most basic Constitutional rights have been systematically stripped from us and destroyed–under the deliberately misleading guize of supposedly “Strengthening the Laws against Cruelty to Animals”. Maine had more than sufficient laws on the books to protect animals from cruelty and to prosecute those guilty of animal cruelty. This new law is not about animal cruelty. It is solely for the purpose of stripping Mainers’ of US Constitutional rights and Constitutional protections. Under this new law , designated agents of the state may invade any homes and property in the state belonging to any person designated state agents, at will, suspect of being cruel to animals — without consent, against our will, and without such agents any longer first being required to obtain a court issued warrant permitting premise even premis searches let alone animal seizures. Maine’s designated state agents are now permitted to sieze and transport at will any any all animals (still without court order) such agents “suspect” might possibly have been abused. All costs for such warrantless search, seizure, and transport by state agents stemming from no more than “suspicion” on the part of designated state agents are to be billed to the owner of the state seized animal/s. The animal owner whose animal/s are seized under the draconian new state law is to be charged with cruelty to animals. Another new provision of this law is that animal owner’s charged with animal cruelty under such warrantless property invasion by designated state agents, are newly PRESUMED AS BEING GUILTY OF ANIMAL CRUELTY UNTIL AND UNLESS SUCH INDIVIDUALS CAN PROVE THEMSELVES INNOCENT. The burden of proof of guilt is no longer on the state to prove. Now any animal owner charged must be able to prove themselves innocent–of suspicions, appearances, and all charges state agents choose to lodge. Excerpt: It is the owner’s responsibility at the (expedited possession) hearing to show cause why the animal should not be seized permanently or disposed of humanely, if it appears at the hearing that the animal has been abandoned or cruelly treated by the owner, the court shall declare the animal forfeited and order its sale, adoption, or donation, or order the animal to be disposed of humanely”…In this area of average $27,000/year total family income it costs an average of $40,000 to be paid upfront to a general practice lawyer to represent an animal owner charged with animal cruelty. Few to none here can afford such cost for legal representation. (More than incidentally, there are zero lawyers now practicing in Maine that specialize in representing animal owners against whom state charges have been brought.) The new law also requires “search and seizure fishing expedition” cases brought by the state against animal owners charged with animal cruelty to be expedited in court docket scheduling over and above other criminal prosecutions. The expedited court hearing scheduling requirement leaves it impossible for any animal owners charged with animal cruelty to have sufficient time to locate and secure legal representation from out of state prior to the conduct of the disposition hearing which now is required to be held within 7 days of such unconstitutional seizures having been conducted. Beware. This erosion through eradication of US Constitutional rights of all animal owners in one state if not fought and won will be copied by other states.
