I actually pulled this out of the book, “John Adams” by David McCoullough, that I have been reading. I missed the miniseries and am now just getting around to reading the book.

Assiduity:

noun, plural-ties.
1. constant or close application or effort; diligence; industry.
2. assiduities, devoted or solicitous attentions.

This word is often used in the plural.

Example used in a sentence:

My assiduity toward research in wolf issues to find science-based facts, is extremely time consuming and laborious.
