This is video of some of the Idaho Fish and Game Commission’s meeting in which they voted to adopt a resolution on how to proceed on the wolf issue. This I wrote about last week. In this video, a regional representative from USFWS attempts to praise the state of Idaho and the Fish and Game Department/Commission for their great work and stated that nothing they did caused the failure of the system to keep wolves on the Endangered Species List. The representative said she anticipates working with IDFG to implement an expanded 10j rule, which is under litigation through lawsuits filed by several environmental groups. The expanded 10j was implemented as part of the Non Essential Experimental Population of introduced wolves into the Yellowstone ecosystem. An expanded 10j rule is designed to allow state fish and game departments to kill wolves in areas where they are having serious affects on ungulate populations.
