Radio talk show host Austin Hill’s article today in Townhall, takes a look at the problems this country is having in Arizona, with illegal aliens and Idaho and Montana with illegal wolves. To those of us who have been mired in this debate for years, Hill brings nothing new to the battle front. However, as the war for public opinion begins to shift from full support of the animal rights groups to common sense Americans, Hill’s article helps to get more of the truth out to a wider, nationwide audience.
Hill describes Obama’s efforts to intrude into every aspect of our lives while failing to provide the basic essentials for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The regional problems with wolves and “coyotes” in Idaho and Arizona speak to a broader nationwide problem with our U.S government. With Barack Obama in the White House, our government has insisted on intruding into the most private and personal affairs of our lives, while it cannot (or will not) provide the most basic and essential services that we need.
Worse yet, the Obama government is one that is upholding the needs and interests of illegal aliens over and above those of citizens, and the needs and interests of animals over and above those of human beings. This ideologically driven Administration may seem to be a dream come true for some liberals, but a majority of Americans are seeing it as more of a nightmare.
It is quite unfortunate that it has come to the point where American citizens are now viewing the actions of our Federal Government, environmentalists groups and our Courts as a “nightmare”. If this is what it takes to bring this program of “wolf recovery” back to reality then so be it.
Yes, the wolf issue is regional but that regional disaster is made possible by a Federal Government. This is the same Federal Government shared by all Americans, therefore all Americans need to be made aware of the fact that their leadership finds more interest in securing the protection of a vicious killing machine animal over the rights of Americans. If it can happen in the rural areas of the West, certainly no place is an island, secure from the strong arm of government intrusion.
It is a rare occurrence that a news article speaking in opposition to the invasion and extraction of human rights via animal protection gets beyond the obscure back pages of a local rag. Most often what is written is pro environment, pro wolf, pro illegal immigration.
The battle rages on and for a word to those on the front lines, the appearance of this one article in Townhall is a tiny victory in our battle for truth and justice. Keep hammering away. We are being shown that when Americans are actually made aware of the truth, the majority are coming to their senses.
