There were a couple of those elk wearing ear tags like domestic cattle.

Aren’t they hanging around town to get away from predators? And aren’t they a threaat to school children waiting at bus stops? The lady was concerned enough to pick up her little dog. They look viscious.

I think this kinda illustrates one of the points that Greg was making about how Elk are kinda fenced in by growing suburban and urban ares.

And you are correct AB. School kids should be aware of the dangers that elk can present.

Colorado is not over run with wolves yet. Bears and cougars have not forced ungulates into towns. Wolves do that. Do dogs/wolves have natural herding instincts ? Did man learn how to use those instincts for mans benefit ? Is Colorado at elk carrying capacity ? Is Science infallible ?

Enjoy them while you have them CO, you are next on the list. I wonder if BBC will be in town watching the wolves hamstring elk, or film them eating them while the elk are still alive?
