It is times like this that we all should recognize there is God. Many rural residents of the United States have always been willing to share those large predators that have seriously forced the alteration of their lifestyles, with the urban dwellers, many of whom are behind the actions to protect the very same large predators that end up preying on people and their property.

Time to share the wealth, it would seem, as a wild animal alert has been issued to residents just north of Greenwich, Connecticut. It has been officially confirmed with photographs and scat (feces).

Your welcome very much, and from all the rural residents of the United States, we hope you enjoy your mountain lion as much as the rest do. Now, to get that gray wolf into Central Park.

Population control measures against people, there are to many people. The best way to protect the cougar upon releasing it into urbanville is to place a green military vest with local law enforcement patch on vest, onto the cougar. Nothing to be worried about, it’s just looking for the sick and the weak, maybe the obese, maybe those tame people will be rewilded, they don’t run around enough, they always have their heads down feeding, or they’re having to much sex, if more cougars were on the rooftops in the urban villages maybe more people would look up.

Greenwich must be one of the smaller U.N. Core Areas that they designated in the lower forty eight.
Maine & N.Y. have the two largest areas in the eastern 2/3rds of the lower forty eight.They want people out and large carnivore’s reintroduced.

Tuesday the 14th I’m driving down the road towards Savery Wy, pop 25 when my cell rings and it’s the nieghbor lady asking if i could stop by and look at her kitchen as something had broke in the house and took her chicken that was on the stove. I stopped and realized right off it was a bear. It had broke the window out on the east side of the house and walked down the counter top and help itself to a chicken and left but in the process cut it’s pad on the glass and was bleeding a little so I told her I had a bear tag and maybe i could track it over the rocky ground behind her house and shoot the bear. She said no I don’t want the bear hurt I just want my chicken back. I told her to call the fish and game as I didn’t think I could help her. By the way this lady is from Connecticut and has a summer home here. Why am I not surprized.

Hell, I’d trade a pound of chicken for 2-300 pounds of bear sausage, what a deal, especially if I got to smoke that bear in my kitchen, or in my kitchen window, yeah baby, 260 grains of 454 hot copper jacketed no trespassing into my space love.

btw, I’ve never had bear meat. Or elk for that matter. Buffalo, Venison, but nothing else. What does it taste like? And Rattler… if you say chicken, so help me…

young bear is eatable but older bears taste like they smell. Not anywhere as good as elk in my opinion.

One of these days I’m going to try some elk, I’ve heard good things about it.

Yeah, cold bear meat, yuck..

Harley, if you’ve eaten White Tail, then you just about know the taste of elk. Slightly less gamey, unless your white tail deer was a spoiled hangs around the farm deer eating farmed crops rather than living on the wild type diet. A yearling elk, or even a first fall calf elk is going to be mighty fine eating, the quality of the meat goes down from there, just like it does with farm/ranch critters. I learned a long time ago to recognize yearling cows, and preferred those myself, once in a while I did take a calf elk.

I don’t eat trashy chicken meat, nothing from Toxic Poison people Tyson meats ever.

Sometimes a yearling cow turns out to be a yearling bull. Done that once.

I have a friend that I get a lot of my meat from, I very rarely buy from the supermarket unless there is no choice and the difference is very apparent. She raises her own chickens, beef and lamb and I have got to say the quality is excellent, what a huge difference between fresh meat and the stuff in the stores! When the kids were little, I also became very selective in what milk I bought for them, trying my darndest to steer away from the ‘enhanced’ milk. It was easier when they were younger, we had connections to a small dairy farm. It’s so nice to know where your food is coming from and how it was raised up!

I’ve had whitetail but… it was at a restaurant so I’m not sure where my dinner grew up…

Rattler is right about the yearlings being the best eating. Bull or cow at that age are both good.

Oh what is this!? No luv for the bears? I actually love the stuff, young ones are prime eating, old ones are sausage fodder. But like most animals it also depends on what they are eating. In N. Idaho where they mainly feed berries and such, the meat is first class. I have shot bears in central and south Idaho that weren’t fit to haul in the back of your truck though.

Then again, are bears actually ‘game’ animals? Frankly I consider them just another predator that became micro managed when the predator lovers infiltrated the game departments.
