It’s been raining here quite steadily for two full days now and the forecast calls for another day or two of rain and then showers until the beginning of next week. I’ve been pounding away on my keyboard here all day today because yesterday was a day away from camp (escape the rain). I did however reach a point where I needed some kind of change, so I thought maybe if I built a big enough fire in the outside fireplace, I could get warm (only 56 here) and dry things out around.

It was not long after I took this photo that the skies opened up and the rain came pouring back down.

The upside to all this rain is that I’ve been able to get my rain barrel full of water so I’ll have enough on hand to keep the flowers, etc. watered.

Yesterday, we rode to Andover to do some shopping and visit my aunt and cousin. In town (very tiny), I spied a red fox seeming to make his home next to or in the middle of the town’s winter sand pile. My cousin verified he’s been hanging there for quite some time.

The trip back, we visited a bull moose next to the road, munching on some greenery and “wallowing” in the muck hole.

Pictures? What pictures? It wasn’t until after I had gotten to Andover, did I realize I left the camera in camp.
