I liked this film. Well thought out and executed. That there feller has observed his “meese” quite a bit and knows when the danger flags begin waving to leave well enough alone and to back-off.
Observing horses or other animals, they present themselves in certain ways that their offspring learn and pass on just the same as a dog or cat, mouse or whatever.
In the photo of a mother and two calves, the calf not seen is in under an evergreen resting or hiding. The cow, if you notice has taking a particular stance; an ear forward an ear pinned back as well as standing in a fashion seeming awkward. The youngster seen in the pic follows mother’s lead and is stationary. The mother continued this pose until the second calf went in the direction mom is pointing and joined it’s sibling under cover of the evergreen where the little ones laid down, as in the second photo.

I loaded the wrong photo, sorry. This one is “under-cover” for the little ones.
