For more information on the efforts by CBS News to expose the corruption and intentions of the BATFE and DOJ in “Fast and Furious”, visit this link.

The entire “gun walking” sting called Fast and Furious has been all wrong. I would suppose it’s what happens when any governmental attempt is rooted in corruption and ill intent. CBS News appears to be about the only media agency willing to swing a bat at Eric Holder and the Department of Justice, including AG Eric Holder for everything gone wrong and the lies that have, from the beginning, been perpetuated.

Holder lies and has blood on his hands. Government is corrupt. Cover ups persist. Congressional hearings are dog and pony shows pretending to get to the bottom of things, yet criminals are allowed to walk. Could you or I still be living at home had we done what Holder is responsible for?

So where is the outrage? Where is the media coverage on what’s really behind Fast and Furious? And where are We the People? We can expect no truth and justice when we as a society are unwilling to practice it. What will it take to right a country heading in the wrong direction?

I hope this video helps explain about Fast and Furious, what’s behind it and why crimes are dealt with differently in Congress than elsewhere.

I apologize for the length of this video but it is vitally important in my opinion. What began as a FaceBook post calling the threat of echinococcus granulosus tapeworm and hydatidosis “bullsh**” and quickly moved to Idaho’s official state veterinary given false and misleading information to the media, quickly got my guts in a knot. I had important information and debated as to the best platform in which to relay this. I chose video.

Find out the responses to Dr. Mark Drew’s, Idaho State Veterinary, statement downplaying and providing irresponsible information about wolf diseases, from Dr. Delane Kritsky, Dr. Clay Dethlefsen, Dr. Valerius Geist and Will Graves.

In addition, in the video I stated that I would provide viewers with information where they can go to learn more about wolves and echinococuss granulosus tapeworms, eggs and human contracted hydatid disease. Please follow this link:

I hear them wolves a howlin’
They’re Howlin’ round the bend
I’ve been stuck in my kitchen
Since, I don’t know when
I feel like I’m in prison
And time keeps draggin on
But them wolves keep a howlin’
On down to Challis Town

When I was just a Baby
My Mama told me, “Son
Always be a good boy
Don’t ever play with guns”
I shot a wolf in Lolo
Just to watch it die
When I hear them wolves a howlin’
I hang my head and smile

I bet there’s some folks drivin’
In fancy SUVs
They’re probably drinking Starbucks
And pissin all over me
I know I had it comin’
I just want to be free
But those people just don’t get it
And that’s what tortures me

Well, If they freed me from my kitchen
And them wolf howls went away
I bet I’d enjoy my Freedoms
No matter what they say
Far from my kitchen prison
That’s where I want to stay
When I hear them wolves a howlin’
I’ll just blow them away

I wasn’t intending to publish this video on the Black Bear Blog but after watching it again, I decided it was actually quite relevant to those “mass movements” that hunters, trappers, fishermen and outdoor sportsmen have to deal with on a regular basis, especially today. Not only that, but more often than in the past, these outdoor sportsmen are becoming “True Believers” in their own right. Learn why.

Eric Hoffer, author of the book, “True Believers”, thinks that people who blindly follow those proclaiming radical changes or a “better life”, are dissatisfied with their own life and find no room for self improvement or even self worth. To blindly follow hoping for the better life never satisfies the true believer.

Hoffer says, “A man is likely to mind his own business when it is worth minding.”

Bob Sherman, of Sherman-Media, is teaming up with Bitterroot Beagle Productions to create a documentary film (Elk in Peril) about a three-year study on elk to be spearheaded by the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The study will take place in the Bitterroot National Park area of Western Montana with the goal of providing scientific evidence as to why elk cow to calf ratios are running 100:11.

This is a second in a series of interviews with Bob Sherman (Please find Interview #1 here). Bob updates listeners on the capture, sampling and collaring of 47 Bitterroot elk. We discuss preliminary data that shows elk age structure of the Bitterroot herd in the 6-12 year-age bracket, as well as discuss how politics might play a role in this three year study.

Below is a video Bob put together showing the flying, locating a herd and netting from inside the helicopter. Find more information at Elk in Peril.

Idaho republican Representative Mike Simpson attached a provision to the Federal spending bill that will keep the Government running. That provision will prompt the Department of Interior to reissue the Final Rule dated April 2, 2009 as it pertains to gray wolf delisting in Montana and Idaho. The provision also disallows any statutes or federal rulings since that time and prohibits any further judicial scrutiny. What now happens to H.R. 509, a bill Rep. Simpson is a cosponsor of?

*Update* – Congressman Denny Rehberg reacts to Rep. Simpson’s provision added to the Continuing Resolution.

“The language that was added to the Continuing Resolution may provide a temporary and limited solution for parts of some Western states and Montana, but it does not change the need for a comprehensive, science-based bill to end the misuse of the Endangered Species Act with respect to wolves once and for all. My legislation removes the federal government from the equation entirely and allows management to be conducted by the states, where the stakeholders are. The language in the CR doesn’t prevent the Fish and Wildlife Service from relisting wolves in the Northern Rockies at a later date, so there’s definitely room for improvement. We’ve been back and forth on this issue too many times to surrender it to unelected bureaucrats and activist judges.”

One of the better enjoyments we get from politicians, and doubly so from presidents, is when their actions provide us with the opportunity at humor. President Obama is no exception. Even though many have feared to make jokes and laugh at the man, for varied ridiculous reasons, we all must laugh out loud that he felt compelled to tell the American people that he doesn’t have time to run around with his birth certificate plastered on his head. No, sir. It would seriously cut into his golf game.

A reader sent me six short videos he collected from his trail camera in Northern Maine. First you’ll see a Canada lynx, followed by a black bear and two cubs and finishes with a moose. It’s very interesting in that all the videos were taken from the same camera at the exact same site.
