X10 Arrows Sweep Beijing Medals
Archers Take Gold, Silver, and Bronze with X10 Precision

Beijing, China (August, 2008)  Accurate X10 delivers winning performance with 24 out of 24 archery athletes taking medals with Easton X10. Team competitors left it all on the range with Easton arrows as the only common factor. Korea’s men, IM Dong-Hyun, LEE Chang-Hwan, and PARK Kyung-Mo triumph over team Italy with LEE Chang-Hwan of the Men’s Korean team setting a new Olympic 12 arrow record of 117 out 120 with X10. Team Italy with Ilario Dibuo, Marco Galiazzo and Mauro Nespoli manages to stay above China for silver, with China’s Jiang Lin, Xue Hai Feng, and LI Wenguan winning bronze. Like Korea’s men YUN Ok-Hee, PARK Sung-Hyun, and JOO Hyun-Jung of the Korean women’s team took gold with incredibly consistent shooting in an all matches. The women’s team competition rounded out with China’s Chen Ling, Guo Dan, and Zhang Juan Juan besting France for silver. France’s Virginie Arnold, Berengere Schuh, and Sophie Dodemont were honored with the bronze. The Archery venues were filled with excitement and anticipation as each eliminatory match came down to the last few arrows.

Individual competition picked up fast after the first few elimination rounds. Down to the very last arrow Zhang Juan Juan of China sealed her gold over Koreas Park Sung-Hyun by only one point breaking Korea’s 24-year dominance in the women’s individual class. Bronze was awarded to Yun Ok-Hee after a battle with Kwon Un Sil (PRK).

After winning a two-arrow shoot-off in the semi-finals, Viktor Ruban of Ukraine fought against Korea’s Park Kyung-Mo for a one point win for gold. Bair BADENOV of Russia wrapped up the bronze by edging out Juan Rene Serrano of Mexico.
