The only thing better than shooting bows and winning amazing prizes is shooting bows, winning amazing prizes and helping to beat cancer while you’re at it. Four years ago, John Bingham did the first Shoot for Hope, supported and promoted at the time by his busy Facebook Group The Broadhead Brotherhood. It was a success and it only gets bigger and better each year.
Proceeds from this fun 3D shoot go to the H.O.P.E Team. The H.O.P.E. Team provides a volunteer service program at Cancer Treatment Centers of America which enhances the whole-person care concept that Cancer Treatment Centers of America refers to as the Mother Standard®. This guiding principle is a nurturing approach carried out by all Cancer Treatment Centers of America employees. The Mother Standard® reflects how they would want their mothers, fathers, brothers or sisters to be treated if they had cancer.
This year’s event is slated for April 14th at 6 AM, at the Ben Avery Archery Range in Phoenix.
Last year, over 400 people attended the event. Over 300 archers participated, with around 40 youth archers participating. The 2017 event raised $33,000 for the HOPE Team.
