Well, that time is rapidly approaching. Hunting season will start about 6 weeks early for me this year! Not only does my hunting start earlier this year, but I will be filming for Bass Pro and Advantage Adventures with Tom Miranda. I know I will be gone a lot this fall, but I sat down with my wife and we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of me being gone so much this fall. Believe it or not we both agreed that this would be a great opportunity for me.
Since I will be gone so much this year I will be taking my family to the Outer Banks for a week of rest and relaxation, before I start this crazy fall schedule!
If you would have told me 9 years ago that I would be filming for hunting shows that air on the Outdoor Channel and ESPN, I probably would have laughed and asked if you had a fever. Now that it has become a reality, it seems like any other job. Yes, I like going on these trips and seeing beautiful places, but usually towards the end of the trip I am getting a little home sick and ready to get back to the wife and kids.
