I hunted SC a couple years back on the archery deer opener for deer and hogs. Saw a ton of deer, but the operation had a points minimum and nothing came in range of my recurve all weekend. Had a couple of encounters with hogs too. I do remember the heat and the skeeters. Thermacell is your friend. If you don't have one, try one. It's the most incredible gadget I've ever used. Nice hog!
