Wow great story. I love hunting in snow but we don’t see much here in NC. So what was the spread on that bad boy? I’ve taken two moose but never with a bow I bet that it’s tough to get in that close. I too can hardly wait to see the video. Glad your back safe and sound.

I think his spread was around 36″. Yes it was fun hunting in the snow, but it got to snowing so much that it started getting difficult to get around the last 4 days. The great thing about this hunt was that any legal animal was going to be a trophy for Michele. She wasn’t holding out for a 60″ Moose, the first opportunity she got she was going to take the shot! That’s music to a camera guys ears, especially when you’re bowhunting in such harsh conditions!

It looks like it has some decent palms for being a smaller bull. My first bull was sporting antlers about that size except not the palms that guy has. Taken one with a bow and in those conditions any bull is a trophy. As the hunt winds down & the weather gets worse the standards get relaxed as to what an acceptable bull is. I imagine she may of past this guy on the first day of the hunt. Hard to believe that with many places in the US setting records for heat the last week or so that you guys were up to your eyeballs in snow. Great story and like I said I can hardly wait to see the video let us know when it gets scheduled to air.

So how does a 23 year old guy like me get these huntresses down to the states? haha. Sounds like you had a blast there moose hunting. I’m finally starting to expand into other big game this year. I’m going on my first archery black bear hunt with a buddy this weekend on some public land. It looks like we have a great spot. In a few years I’d like to make it out west for Elk and Muleys, but after that it’s moose time! Maybe sometime you can give me a few tips on how to get into outdoor videography.
