The holidays are always a time of family and celebration…one of togetherness and thankfulness for what we have in health, life and love. I have been fortunate to have had many holidays where nothing has taken the focus off the holiday decorations, cookies and the laughter of family throughout every room. However, this week a beloved family member has passed. This will be a huge void that will not be filled throughout the holidays for the family, but we do understand that our loved one is now in a better place to enjoy in much bigger celebrations.
In all the laughter and celebration over the holidays, don’t forget to look around and notice the missing members of your family…ones who have passed, or ones not able to make the trip to spend time together for whatever reason. Awknowledge the missing, and do not forget to notice your loved ones who may be saddened that another member is not present beside them as the laughter throughout the night lingers on. Years may have passed since a family members passing, but at these sacred family events, someone is always missing someone not there to join in.
Take the time to notice those who are smiling but missing someone inside.
Enjoy your holidays, HER OUTDOORS

Amen Sister! We lost my Dad and my Grandmother right around Christmas three years ago. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t think about them and wish they were here. I’m sorry for your loss.
