The weather is here, I wish you were beautiful…
…Or, so says, Jimmy Buffett. But actually, that’s a pretty good start to this postcard from Portland, Oregon. As opposed to the stereotypical Pacific Northwest weather, it’s been beautiful the whole trip. Even down at the coast, the sun shone as we drove along.
The scenery up here is pretty spectacular, and after living for so long in CA, the amount of water available here is pretty mind boggling. I could spend days in the forests here, especially along the Pacific Crest.
You also never know who you’ll see up here. As we drove north along Highway 101, the elusive Sasquatch stuck out his thumb. Unfortunately, we had no room for him or we’d have gladly picked him up. Kat took his picture as we drove by, though.
Anyway, more to come soon… I hope. We’re off to the Willamette Valley wine country now.
