Hi! I could have sworn I've been to this blog before but after checking through some of the post I realized it's new to me. Nonetheless, I'm definitely glad I found it and I'll be bookmarking and checking back often!

Heya John,

I usually hit inciweb.org first thing, but couldn't seem to get on yesterday. Maybe traffic...maybe just a hiccup in my connection. It's definitely another good source.

Some of these fires are devastating, but they can sure crank up the hunting under the right conditions too, especially over here in our blacktail habitat.

I've got a favorite spot that burned several years ago, and I was amazed at the deer activity that followed. Unfortunately, hunting activity went up too, and I temporarily abandoned the spot.

I like to check inciweb.org for the out of state fires, but I'll check the CDF site. I made some notes of fires that burned in my hunting areas last summer, iand I'll definately check those areas out in a scouting trip this summer..
