I just read the latest post over at Holly’s NorCal Cazadora blog, and gotta say it left me a little off-balance.

Some of you who read these blogs regularly know Holly teaches journalism. Well, one of her recent students, a sharp young lady, apparently, recently succumbed to a fairly short battle with cancer. Holly’s a little shook up over it, and I can hardly blame her.

Anyway, they’re trying to make something positive come out of all this, and I think it’s a great idea. Head on over to the NorCal Cazadora blog and read what she has to say.

I just read this a few minutes ago and I was quite taken aback. I think that the fund is a great idea and I am going to be contributing.

It is a bit unsettling. I’m so glad so many of us are mentioning what Holly and her students are trying to do though. I hope more people mentioning it will help them get closer to raising the money they need.

Off-balance is a good way to describe it. We’ve all felt strangely confused – it’s really, really hard to process this, even though we knew it was coming.

Thank you so much for the link – it means a lot to me and my students that this community that didn’t even know Jamie is so willing to help.
