It is pretty sad how everyone has lost track of what Christmas is really about.

You never cease to amaze, Phillip. Hog hunting, waxing poetic about seagulls, and now reviewing video games?

Americans’ reaction to the holidays is strange and, at times, awful. Unfortunately, it is a glaring realization that we are just like everybody else in the world, as I am reminded of tramplings at religious sites and soccer games. Christmas is better as a rural holiday, where folks think about what loved ones want, and then try to make it for them, all the while thinking about the sacrifices of others for us… and usually, drinking heavily. Okay, so maybe us rural folks don’t have the market cornered on vice-free holidays.
