I try to keep up with old posts, so glad I saw this one. I'm not sure if Legendary Adventures is quite right for a 5-year old. It isn't scary (with bear attacks and such), but it isn't exactly a fast-paced game either. I would think a youngster would get bored with it. I would recommend some of the arcade-style, shooting games. There are a bunch of them available for Wii and other game systems. I'm not really a big gamer, so I haven't played with many of them. I’m not sure if Legendary Adventures is quite right for a 5-year old. It isn’t scary (with bear attacks and such), but it isn’t exactly a fast-paced game either. We received the Bass Pro Shop and more recent Cabellas hunting game and in both we were attacked by a bear and my son was terrified. Thanks for any help you can offer. I used to like playing the first laser disk game: "Dragons Lair" and I fooled around a bit with my cousins game where "Dinosaurs" were the quarry and that was pretty fun! I would like to try the Cabella's Legendary Adventures and my wife and I have been thinking about getting our kids a play station, so there ya' go! I will give it a whirl after Christmas!
