Headed down to LA for the weekend (that’s Los Angeles, not Louisiana). I’m attending an annual meeting for the US Sportsmen’s Alliance (USSA), an organization I joined up with this past fall as a volunteer Field Director. The organization is just getting their feet wet here on the west coast, and I’m hoping to find a way to start taking an active role, both in getting sportsmen organized and involved, as well as getting myself into the thick of things (e.g. the lead ammo ban). If you’re interested in being a part of this thing, check out the website and learn how you can get involved too!
Anyway, not much to report yet, but I’ll let everyone know whatever news there is to be shared.
In the meantime, the drive down took me past the Tejon Ranch. As we were driving by, I happened to glance over under the oaks and sure enough, taunting me as I cruised past, was a herd of about 15-20 hogs… right out in broad daylight! I hope they’re still hanging around like that in two weeks, when a bunch of us will be heading down there for a weekend hunt.

Little stinkers!
Did they holler at you: “Nya, nya, you can’t catch me!”
They do that sometimes you know.
Regards,
Albert
