I know, I’m stating the obvious. A few posts a week is hardly the pace I’d like to maintain, but it just seems to be the status quo here lately. No excuses… but I do hope a couple of weekends of hunting will get me back on track.
In the meantime, here’s the best hog of the three we took this weekend… A wicked, ugly, old bruiser with one eye and split ears.

Finding a good working balance between aiming at being a noted blogger and aiming at quarry is a rather tricky thing, I think, at least for me. Your writing and photos are so very strong though that I can’t see you have great cause to worry that a slight drop in the frequency of your fine posts will disappoint folk. Personally, I’d much rather read infrequent doses of great writing from a blogger than regular servings of weaker stuff; and despite wishing for my own ‘fifteen minutes of fame’ I’d much rather be a less-well-known blogger that feels good about what they write than one famous for writing regular-as-clockwork stuff they’re less happy with.

Life gets busy and like Hubert, I’d rather read up on your adventures after they have marinated a bit. I like reading your posts after a bit of a break in your posts – it gives me something to look forward to reading! That IS a bruiser! Quite the smile he’s flashing for the camera. Good luck hunting!
