Yeah… sometimes I just like to use neglected language. Like nascent.
Anyway, it’s New Year’s Eve (duh), and I know a lot of folks are planning their resolutions. Personally, I gave up on that concept years ago, but it is a fun way to think about goals for the future… what is it about myself I want to change? What do I want to accomplish? For me, those ideas crop up and evolve daily, so just trying to set one target on January 1 is pretty moot. The relevance is usually gone by January 7.
At any rate, one of the things I do need to do in this coming year is update my blog roll. It’s been pretty static for a while, in large part because I can only keep up with so many sites at one time. I am a pretty regular reader of all of the blogs in my list (although I don’t comment so much lately), and that takes a lot of time. Even so, there are a lot more blogs out there… some, like Bumbling Bushman that I’ve been reading for a while, and others, like BulletProofMedia that I’ve only just learned about.
Of course, it raises the question of how to manage such a large number of links on my blog roll. The list already runs clear down to a couple of pages (depending on your monitor’s resolution). Do I just let it extend even further? Do I eliminate someone? I always try to remove links to blogs that aren’t regularly updated, so most of those currently listed are active. They’re also quality sites for one reason or another, which is the only reason I linked them in the first place. Ahh… impasse.
Anyway, I guess I’ll have another Sudafed and a cup of coffee while I work this out. Looks like a quiet, sniffly New Year’s Eve around here.

Happy New Year, Phillip! You could put them into categories, so folks know how to look ‘em up… but, that often means shoehorning, I know. Maybe by region? I obviously don’t know.
Personally, I resolve this year to go hunting with a good friend who lives in the East Bay.
