I know that, despite his recent legal troubles here in CA, Ted Nugent still has a lot of fans in the hunting and shooting community. I even bet a lot of you would like the opportunity to hunt with the Nuge on his Waco, TX ranch.

I really wish I had some better ideas for contests, because I have a bunch of stuff to give away all of a sudden. In addition to the Field Dressing and Shooting Optics vids, I have a variety of cool neoprene cases from a company called foneGEAR.

As you’ll see from the link, they’ve done a whole line in Mossy Oak camo… just the thing if you like to Tweet from your duck blind, or check your Camo-Space account during a slow spot in your turkey hunt. Right now I have a case for a Blackberry, a case for an iPhone, and a couple of assorted cases for flip phones or small cameras.

I’d thought about doing some kind of interactive thing, but I have no way to keep score. I can probably do some simple trivia, first right answer kind of thing like the last one…

And suddenly, it dawns on me!

The first person to give me an idea that I choose for the next contest wins their choice of foneGEAR cases.

It’s been a long damned time since I went hunting. Or maybe not… I can’t seem to remember. All I know is I’m jonesing!

I think I’ll head out this weekend and see if I can find a duck. I tried to get Holly to go, but she’s got a better offer. And Fabio, one of the Native Hunt regulars had asked about duck hunting, so I’d invited him, but he’s sick this weekend. Kat’s been under the weather too… but at least the dog is healthy.

So, looks like I’ll grab the scattergun and head out.

Oh, the contest?

So here’s the deal… it’s been so long since I had a real hunt that I can’t remember where it was or what it was for. The first person to correctly remind me what I was after and where I went wins their choice of a copy of the Field Dressing Wild Hogs DVD, the Shooting and Optics DVD (by the same guys… a review is forthcoming).

This should be an easy one…
