The family and I are heading to our cottage in Mackinaw City, Michigan. The kids and I are going to try to do some fishing while we are there. The boat is hooked to the truck and loaded up, so the fish had better beware! My wife has promised me that she would even take a morning to hit the water with me! This is a first for her, I hope the fish are biting that morning for my sake! If this all works out, she might become an angler herself. I have to give her credit, at least she is trying for my sake.
As for Labor Day, she is going to do the Mackinaw Bridge annual Labor Day Bridge Walk of 5 miles. I for one have other plans. Michael and I are hitting the water at French Farm Lake that morning for the early goose season opener! It will be the first chance to get into the field or water to do some hunting for the 2008 – 2009 season. I have some new Mossy Oak Duck Blind camo that is going to be put to the test and I for one can’t wait.
While we are on vacation, I will find an internet connection to write about all of our adventures while away. If for some reason I cannot get to a connection, I have a friend that will be posting for me in my absence. I hope each and everyone of you has a great holiday weekend and I also hope you are getting ready for the upcoming hunting seasons.
