Under current regulations, individuals that have certain permanent disabilities which prevent their use of conventional archery equpiment and have been certified by a physician, physical or occupational therapist, and have received a crossbow permit issued by the Department, may use a crossbow to hunt game.
Additionally, firearm deer hunters, age 12 and older, may use a crossbow to hunt deer during the Novemeber 15-30 firearm deer season under the authority of a firearm deer licnese.
