I just ran across a cool little camera that I thought might be something the average hunter could use in the field. Most small bow and gun cams are anywhere from $150 to $350 each. This new little credit card sized camera records in HD 1280×720 resolution for a list price of $229. It is made by Flip Video and the quality (which can be seen on Clayton’s Must-Haves from Fox News Clayton Morris) , is quite good from first glance.     I could imagine this being attached to a bow for videoing a hunt. It has a flip out USB connector that will allow you to download your video to your home pc for editing purposes. They offer cheaper models with less memory and standard 640×480 MPEG 4 resolution. What interested me was the fact that it could record in HD, which offers better video quality than most of the smaller hunting cameras that are on the market today.

The camera has a fixed zoom lense and the battery life claims to last 2 hours of run time on a charge. It also has a small 1.5 inch screen for viewing. It also comes with a tripod and small action mount, although we didn’t see how big they actually were.

If any of you try this be sure to post and let us know how it well it works.
