“Today’s economy requires that every operation be on top of their game,” said Clubs & Associations Marking Manager, Son Nguyen. “Whether you’re a range, a club, or a store, you have to know how to gather information, make improvements, and communicate with the public. Club University can help you in all those arenas and more.”
In addition to the NRA Club University staff, members of the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association as well as various club operation experts will participate in the seminar. “We try to provide as diverse a selection of expertise as possible,” explained Nguyen. Topics on the agenda include youth programs, increasing membership, club insurance, the NRA Institute of Legislative Action, women’s programs, and much more.
A new feature for the Albuquerque workshop is finance and promotions expert Tom Shay. A fourth generation merchant, Shay provides promotional techniques and management schemes he developed while successfully running three separate family businesses. Now he shares those same proven and tried ideas to assist owners, managers, and staff with the day to day operation of their businesses by improving promotions, customer loyalty, business management, employee skills, and financial control.
NRA Club University is open to anyone with an interest in the shooting sports. Online registrants will receive a $5 discount from the $40 general fee. No matter when you register, each participant also receives the educational materials, meals, and a special presentation by keynote speaker Tom Shay.
