North Carolina Wildlife has announced the dates for 06 07 season. No excuse for not planning your time off but just remember the dates can change and there is a good chance the turkey season dates will if the proposal to open on the 10th of April every year passes. I guess the only major change is the addition of the youth only turkey hunt Saturday. This is good and hopefully will encourage more youth to get into the sport. Migratory birds will have to wait till the Feds set the season this summer then the State will set based on those guidelines. With goose season going out Saturday it will be a long time till it reopens in September.
