Seems hard to believe that it’s now 2007 but it is. The 2006 deer season ended today I didn’t go out in the rain for the last day. Saturday was the last day I hunted and I didn’t see any deer. The weather has been horrible for the end of the season and I’m sure that contributed to the lack of movement.
With the New Year there is still some great hunting to do; waterfowl will be the major focus for most of this month. I have a tundra swan hunt planned for the middle of the month and hopefully I’ll get a crack at some snow geese.

Predators are also in season so hopefully I’ll get out and get some calling in. The outdoor opportunities abound even though deer season has closed. My advice for a good year avoid cabin fever and get out and enjoy the great outdoors.
