The American Kennel Club has announced the top dog breed for 2006 and for the 2nd year in a row it’s the Labrador Retriever. For many of us who hunt this breed is an important companion in the field and in the blind. I could go on and on but I’ll let a sequence of photographs I took in the field of my buddy’s lab chasing down a crippled tundra swan. Hershey the Chocolate Lab in these photos is only 7months old and these are the biggest bird she has ever hunted.
