We got some much needed rain last evening as a powerful line of storms rolled through one after another. We needed the rain so I won’t complain but it certainly cut into my online activity that’s for sure. The drought here in North Carolina continues to be an issue so any rain we can get is a blessing. There is hundreds of reports of wind damage across the area here with many trees down but thankfully only one reported tornado and no injuries or death associated with the storms.
Hopefully we’ll have a wet spring, at least the early part, to help restore our water supplies we have rain in the forecast for Friday so we could have a good week.

Today the Wildlife Commissioners are scheduled to meet and vote on the proposed changes for next year. The two buck limit is part of those proposed changes and it will be interesting to see how that turns out. I hope they follow both the biologists recommendation as well as the majority of the sportsmen and enact the two buck limit. The purpose of the two buck limit is to help improve the age structure as well as bring the buck to doe ratio back in line.
