Among hunters the topic is pretty evenly split making it hard to push it forward. NCWRC is looking at allowing archery hunting on Game Lands it went to public meetings this Sept. Hunting with firearms on Sunday is out of their hands and would require a law change by lawmakers. Not sure how effective a boycott would be many of us already have life time licenses and I'm not sure it be good to boycott NCWRC over something they really don't have control over. I'm sure Sunday hunting will get here eventually and it may take folks like you that have a real passion for it. For me its not that big of an issue giving the deer season runs from Sept to Feb between archery and the urban archery.

With all due respect to the "Churchgoers" and the "Birdwatchers" and the "Nature Watchers" I have to respectfully voice an opinion favoring Sunday Hunting, especially on Public Lands or Game Lands!

In all of the Game Lands that I have had hunted on I have yet to see a Church within earshot of a discharged firearm let alone the silent discharge of a Compound Bow or Cross Bow.

Now this may not be true for the so called "Private Lands" and Farms which could in fact be close to places of worship! Let us be honest about this issue. Bird Watchers and Nature Hikers do not have to pay one red cent in order to pursue their past time! They are getting a "FREE RIDE" for the utilization of the Public Lands. These "Public Lands" are Tax Supported" We all contribute to the Tax Base that provides for the maintaining of these so called "Publlic Lands" The same is not true for "Hunters" We have to pay for Hunting Licenses and we do so "Gladly" but In fact, however we are being discriminated against by a group that contributes no additional revenue to the state of North Carolina for the support and maintaining of these "Public Lands" This is just not fair! It is also a tremendous loss in revenue for the State Of North Carolina for Hunters who have to work during the week and cannot plan a Hunting trip for just a Saturday! Just take a look at the Hunting Camps and the Revenues now generated by our neighbor states to the North and you will see that North Carolina is loosing money with this arcane policy!

I will be in fact be forming an exploratory committee to initiate a "Petition Drive" to register all Hunters in support of Sunday Hunting on "Public Lands" in the State of North Carolina. Some may say that this will not work but maybe an orchestrated
"Boycott" of the purchase of Hunting Licenses and related consumable items would wake everyone up to the need to repeal this stupid law and State Revenue Killing Income Stream!
