As with many cases those close to it have different perspective then the "official Story" I certainly don't know much more then what has been reported.

I don't see an issue with the Wildlife officer being in camo as long as he properly identified himself to the suspect.

Hunting turkey over bait is certainly unsporting and illegal. Hunting turkeys from an elevated stand is highly unusual and seems to support the charges of hunting over bait.

Whether he did CPR or not should be easily determined by autopsy report, On an individual that old should of had some sign to support it. I also highly doubt that CPR would of made a difference given the trauma of a bullet wound to the chest. (Assuming you are right the officer didn't do it)

Drug testing an officer after a shooting I know nothing about whether that is a procedure or not for these types of situations. If they violated their policies and procedures then that is certainly an issue.

I certainly hate the outcome in what happened that day. Some of these things we may never know. I would think if things happened exactly like you've laid out that the family will pursue a wrongful death case. No matter what I hope we learn from this so a deadly altercations like this don't happen in the future

At this point I see no reason doubt the official story but I also tend expect to see horses when I hear hoof beats.

This man should be charged with manslaughter and never be allowed to be a public employee agian.

As a Myers I find Gordon Myers reply cowadly and unhonest, His thoughts do not represent any thoughts of the Myers family from goldsboro, where common sence and the stones to stand up for what is right is still tought. An outside investigation should have been the basis for the decision.

Personally this whole story disgusts me and is just one more example of how poeple who lack average IQ's, and common sence, are allowed to become our police @ wildlife officers.
