I guess I should of made a New Year’s resolution not to get sick this year but I’d of broken it. The deer season has closed here in NC and I only punched one of my tags. A very wet end to the season that messed up some of our hunting but we did have some snow that was a usual treat.
With much of the deer hunting equipment packed away the focus is now on waterfowl. Later this month I’ll make my annual trip to the east to go after Tundra Swan. Hopefully I’ll get a few duck and goose hunts in as well.
The other important thing this month is the NCWRC public meetings. There are a number of proposals the outdoor people of North Carolina need to familiarize themselves with and let the commissioners know their view.
