A day of fishing and kayaking on Sunday may have taken a tragic turn as a local man is missing. Witnesses report hearing calls for help and rescue workers have recovered a kayak and other equipment believed to belong George Gregory Feeter the missing man. Sunday was a beautiful day with air temperatures approaching close to 70′ in many parts of North Carolina but water temps are still cold and would zap someone’s core temperature if they stayed in to long.

After a day of searching both on the water and surrounding land there is still no sign of Mr. Feeter. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and all the rescue personnel who are searching for him.
