Bald Eagle this one will never be returned because of injuries from a gun shot
An injured eagle was discovered last month at South Wake Municipal Solid Waste Landfill in Apex and rehabbed back to health by the Carolina Raptor Center is ready to be released. The release is scheduled for this coming Saturday.
Wake County invites residents to the release of a rehabilitated American Bald Eagle on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Jordan Lake Dam, 2080 Jordan Dam Rd., in Moncure.
Jordan Lake has a pretty good population of Bald Eagles and this should be a good photo opportunity event for anyone in the area. Unfortunately I have plans that will prevent me from getting to witness this unique event.
