A friend and I made it out Sunday to a spot I hadn’t been to in a few months for a half day hunt.
It turned out to be a decent day, weather was good and cold, wind was mild and coyotes were out.
All coyotes came in fairly quick, most under three minutes. Sounds of the day was bird distress from the Foxpro. Two of these coyotes wouldn’t have been possible with out the MOJO Woodpecker. One came in from out hard right and had us pegged but still circled wide and stopped for one last look at the decoy. Another came in from down wind to take a look, my partner made a great running shot on that one.

Great story and hunt!!!

I live in Arizona and would love to hunt some predators like coyotes, bobcats and mountain lion but don’t have the means (4-wd, experience, habitat knowledge) to do so. How much would you charge to take someone coyote hunting for a day?

That was a great hunt.

That bird distress worked great this time out, you just never know which call will produce on a given day. I was using a Nosler 52 gr. match bullet in my 223 AR on some of those coyotes, it worked very well and was easy on the hide with no pass throughs.

The woodpecker seemed to make a big difference on this hunt as we were hunting terrain that offered open areas so the coyotes could easily spot it. We wouldn’t have been able get the second one without it, I don’t think. If your into predator calling, some type of decoy would be a nice asset to your your predator hunting arsenal.
