Don’t worry folks, I’ve not forgotten about the blog. Just been busy with work and play lately.
On the work side, my semester wrapped up yesterday and I’m trying to get a few other projects knocked out before week’s end. Nothing terribly grueling, just having to plug away at the stack of papers laying on my desk.
On the play side, I’ve been fishing once in the past couple weeks and we boated 15 large mouths. Nothing big, but we filled a gallon freezer bag with fillets that I intend to try a new recipe with this weekend. I’ll post the recipe after I verify its tastiness.
More importantly, my wife and I headed down to Cozumel, Mexico for a week long vacation from April 17-24. As soon as I remember to bring her digital camera into the office, I’ll post up a few pictures. Unbelievable trip though – trip of our lifetimes so far really – food was awesome, neither one of us got sick, beautiful weather, unbelievable snorkeling everyday, met some great friends. The trip just could not have been any better.
On the near horizon is deer season – hah – I wish.
For real though, my dad is coming in tonight with a buddy and we are going to do some hiking, fishing, etc. for a couple days.
Also, I leave for my annual spring turkey hunt/deer season preparation trip to Kansas on Sunday.
So plenty of activity coming up and I’ll bring it all to you here on the blog. I’ll be going for a nice Rio with the old scattergun, so wish me luck!
