July is usually the dip in my website traffic counts.  Looks like we are beginning to climb out of the rut as summer moves closer to the start of some hunting seasons and I start having more interesting things to post about.

Right now I’m tossing around the idea of doing a hunt-by-hunt video diary of my hunting season in addition to the usual pictures and write-ups.  I need to decide which route to go on a video camera, but would really like to take the day-by-day journey through hunting season to the next level.

Also, I’m running back up the archery shop today to remove my QAD rest and either try another QAD (current rest isn’t functioning properly) or put a Ripcord on my bow and test that rest.  Not pleased with the performance of the QAD rest so far, but the manufacturer is standing behind their product – which is commendable – so we’ll see which rest ends up on my z28 for hunting season.  One thing is for sure, I’m ready to have it dressed up like I want it because I’m someone who relies on several intense months of practicing to feel like I’m on my A game come opener.

Stay tuned.  It may be 100 degrees now, but my favorite time of year is just around the corner.
