NC Wildlife Resource Commission Trapping Webpage

NCWRC added a nice webpage to their site concerning furbearers and trapping in North Carolina.  Springtime is usually the state’s wettest time of year and with rain comes aggravated landowners who are looking to avenge local beaver populations for flooding problems.  If you are experiencing trouble with beavers on your property in North Carolina, look at the website and find a licensed trapper in your area.  Trust me, he (or she) will be thrilled to have a new place to trap and you’ll be happy to get rid of your problem.  Check it out.

Alamance County – Fox trapping season
Posted by

Some local news from my hometown.
After a trial fox trapping season for Alamance County in 2007 (in which I gladly participated), the NCWRC will hear comments on July 14th at the Graham County Courthouse at 7 p.m. about a permanent fox trapping season in the county.  The season would extend from Nov 1 to Feb 28 and there is no proposed bag limit on either red or grey foxes.

I won’t be able to attend the meeting, but I will be sending a written comment to:

If you are a local rabbit hunter or trapper in the area, write the NCWRC and let them know that you support this season as well.
