I had the pleasure of covering the Grand Opening of Gander Mountain’s newest store at 5476 Indiana Street in Evansville, Indiana. The Grand Opening Ceremonies began at 7:45 A.M., Friday October 5th with a public ribbon cutting ceremony. When I arrived at 7:00 am, there was already a large line of customers waiting to get in. The folks at Gander Mountain had several large tables set up in front of the store lined with carafes of coffee & boxes of doughnuts for the early birds. This was a much appreciated gesture, especially for my self haven been up since 3:30 am and driving in from Southern Illinois to cover the Grand Opening.
The 53,000 square foot Evansville store features innovative outdoor products including; firearms, equipment for hunting, fishing, and archery, a variety of apparel and footwear, camping equipment, and gifts.
Gander Mountain currently has 114 stores in 23 states.
