Are you ready for a Revolution?

TwisterNock™

Tree Apron Inc. introduces its new invention Twister Nock at the 2008 ATA show. This self contained mechanical nock starts a new era in the archery and bow hunting industry. Twister Nock has several mechanical designs for this compact package which are each unique and different in function. Basically they are based on an arrow nock which offers movement of the nock (that attaches to the string) and the main body (that get attached to the arrow). The movement could be of torsion or compression or both. Twister Nock offer several features that will improve the arrow accuracy and speed. One of these features is the open nock technology. This small compact addition will grab the bow string with extendable bumpers as you nock the arrow on the string. The open nock reduces the friction between the arrow nock and the bow string almost down to 0 when the arrow is ready to leave the bow string. The open nock will increase the arrow speed by up to 4ft/sec.

The revolution that Twister Nock adds to the arrow is tremendously noticeable. Since the arrow starts spinning while it is still attached to the bow string, it will stabilize itself as soon as it leaves the bow. The rotation increase the arrow stability overall and will keep it on its course. This will eliminate the use of the traditional fletching. We leave that option to the archers themselves; we will provide optional fletching sleeves and information for the correct angle of the fletching later. The primary tests with the Twister Nock have resulted in a dramatic improvement in the performance of the arrow both in accuracy and speed.

This mechanical nock has solved the switching problem with respect to the lighted nock technology. The simple light module attachment which contains a battery pack will turn the Twister Nock into a lighted nock. The inventors also have included a sound module with delay switch that make the arrow retrieval much easier when the arrow is hidden in ground or under leaves. Although the use of the remote control activator is in the patent application we do not feel that it is necessary for production at this point.

There are two designs that stand out due to their simplicity in performance and use. The most favorite one (#1) is the one that was shown on the demo of Twister Nock. The mechanical nock #1 does not require being pre charged. By simply placing it on the bow string and nocking the arrow similar to a traditional nock it will charge the nock and cock itself and ready for shoot. Upon shooting the pressure of the string discharge the nock and it will start rotating the arrow shaft while still attached to the string.

The second favorite #2 which is base on a torsion spring is also a candidate for production witch requires charging or cocking in advance or on the string by turning the arrow. Although it will require new cocking habit by archers it has shown a grate result in arrow performance and the overall size of the nock.

Twister Nock has a few more surprises in its store for you. For more information and new test results and video check our web site at www.TreeApron.com
