2008-2009 DEER SEASONS & INFORMATION

FIREARM DEER PERMITS (Shotgun, Muzzleloader, Late-Winter and CWD)

2008 Season Dates:
November 21, 22, 23 (first season)
December 4, 5, 6 & 7 (second season)

MUZZLELOADER – ONLY DEER PERMITS

Season Dates:
December 12, 13 & 14 (first season)
December 4, 5, 6 & 7 (second season) (Note: this is also the second firearm season)

ARCHERY DEER PERMITS

Season Dates:
October 1 – January 15 in Cook, DuPage, Lake and portions of Kane County east of State Rt 47 . October 1 – January 15 in all other counties except that archery hunting is CLOSED November 21, 22 & 23 and December 4, 5, 6 & 7 for the two firearm deer seasons. Hunters must wear blaze orange during the Youth Season October 11 & 12 and the December 12, 13 & 14 Muzzleloader season (refer to Hunter’s Digest for specifics).

YOUTH EITHER SEX DEER HUNT (Firearm/Resident-Only)

Season Dates:
October 11 & 12

LATE WINTER FIREARM and CWD SEASON (Handgun, Shotgun, Muzzleloader/Antlerless-Only)

Season Dates:
January 16, 17, 18, 2009
