Winners in this and other categories are determined by a vote of more than 500 Academy members, drawn from the ranks of firearms industry executives, gun dealers and outdoor writers. The academy is sponsored by FMG Publications, the publisher of Shooting Industry, GUNS and American Handgunner magazines.
