WILD Oklahoma Adds Marine/MAPVA Pro-Staff Member

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: WILD Oklahoma Television and Radio has continued to grow and has added a new pro-staff member to its ranks. Alphonso Lopez of Piedmont, Oklahoma has become a member of the WILD Oklahoma pro-staff after hunting with WILD Oklahoma in Miami, Oklahoma and participating in the Mid-America Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America celebration held earlier this month.
“From the first time we met Alphonso, we knew there was something special – we hit it off immediately,” said Ron Black, founder of WILD Oklahoma Radio and Television. “Alphonso is a Marine so he is not afraid of the hard work that comes with doing an outdoor television show and he’s a tenacious hunter and angler.”
About Alphonso:
Born — May 11, 1974 in Hollis, Ok
Married in 2001 to Brianne Lopez
Has 5 kids– Molly(17), Chris(15), Jacob(13), Jesse(6), & Sydney(3)
Lived in Hollis, Altus, Clinton, Oklahoma City, Oceanside (California) and Piedmont.
Graduated high school in 1994
Joined Marine Corps in 1999
First flight ever was when he flew to boot camp in California.
Has been to Okinawa japan 2 times, during his times at japan he traveled to Korea, Hong kong, Guam, Hiroshima, Mount Fuji, & Mount Muribachi.
went to Iraq in 2004, was flown to Kuwait and then traveled by Humvee convoy to Ar Ramadi Iraq. Got into motorcycle accident on dec. 11th 2004.and became a paraplegic at the t-4/t-5 levelmoved back to Oklahoma in 2006.
Was in the Wild Turkey Hunt in Miami, Oklahoma in 2008 also has participated in many PVA bass tournaments in the past year.
Alphonso has already been nicknamed by the WILD Oklahoma crew as “Fonzie,” because of his laid back demeanor and ability to perservere.
